Armor Inkanto Thermal Transfer Ribbons

Teknik Barkod is an official Armor partner, supplying the Inkanto range of thermal transfer ribbons to UK businesses. Choose by the label you print on: wax for paper, wax-resin for coated paper and synthetics, resin for synthetic labels that face chemicals, heat or abrasion.

Three ribbon families, one for every label

Wax ribbons: AWR1, AWR8, AWR XL

For paper labels: shipping, logistics, warehouse and retail. Wax prints sharp text and barcodes on paper and keeps running costs down where labels are not handled roughly or exposed to chemicals.

Wax-resin ribbons: APR1, APR6, APR600

​For coated paper and synthetic labels that need more smudge and scratch resistance than wax gives. Suited to labels that are handled, stacked or moved through a warehouse.

Resin ribbons: AXR1, AXR8, AXR800

​For synthetic labels in PP, PE and PET. Resin is the choice when labels face chemicals, solvents, high temperatures, humidity or heavy abrasion.

Sizes, packs and winding

Inkanto ribbons are listed in widths from 60mm to 110mm, in lengths of 74m, 100m, 300m and 450m depending on the grade. Most are sold in packs of 10, short-length rolls in packs of 25, on a 1-inch or half-inch core as shown on each product. Each ribbon is available ink side out (CSO) or ink side in (CSI): check which your printer uses before you order.

CSO means the ink side faces out on the roll, CSI means it faces in. Printers are built for one or the other, so check your printer before ordering.
